Batman: The Animated Series (often shortened Batman: TAS or BTAS) is a 1992 - 1995 American animated television series adaptation of the comic book series featuring the DC Comics superhero, Batman. The show's visual style is based on the artwork of producer Bruce Timm. The theme, style, and writing of the series was critically praised; the show won three Daytime Emmy Awards (as well as one Primetime Emmy Award.)

Mad As A Hatter (Season 1, Episode 27)[edit | edit source]

Jervis Tetch develops a form of mind control which he implements by placing devices in people's hats. He uses this to impress Alice, a woman he's attracted to, turning all of Gotham City into a wonderland to please her at every whim. When he learns she's in love with another, the jealous Tetch decides to use his mind control power to do away with her beau, becoming The Mad Hatter as a result.

The New Batman Adventures[edit | edit source]

The New Batman Adventures is a 1997 - 1998 continuation of Batman: The Animated Series. It prominently featured the characters Robin, Nightwing and Batgirl, in addition to Batman himself. Many cast members (including Kevin Conroy/Batman, Loren Lester/Dick Grayson, and Efrem Zimbalist Jr./Alfred) reprised their voice roles from Batman: The Animated Series.

Holiday Knights (Season 1, Episode 1)[edit | edit source]

The heroes and villains of Gotham City have various adventures during the Christmas holiday season. Poison Ivy and Harley Quinn kidnap Bruce Wayne and use his credit cards for a shopping spree. This episode was adapted from the Batman Adventures Holiday Special.
