Batman Confidential
Batman Confidential is an American comic book series that was published by DC Comics from 2006 to 2011. It centers on Batman's early years as a crime fighter.
Blackhawk Down (Volume 1, Issues 36-39)[edit | edit source]
A daring theft of aviation technology leads Batman to uncover a plot by Ted Gaynor, the banished "8th member" of the 7-man Blackhawk Squadron, to start a war between the United States and China. Batman and Lady Blackhawk fly to Blackhawk Island to stop him, but Gaynor captures Lady Blackhawk and brainwashes her into joining his side.
Lady Blackhawk defies Batman's orders and lands on Blackhawk Island
She is kidnapped by Tiger Shark, who references her previous brainwashing experience
Gaynor explains his plan and motivations as he brainwashes Lady Blackhawk
Lady Blackhawk tries to resist as Gaynor taunts her
Later, Gaynor tosses Lady Blackhawk into Tiger Shark's lair
Her "proof of loyalty" test turns out to be... murdering Tiger Shark
