Betty Boop is a Fleischer Cartoons character created in 1930. A gentle caricature of a Jazz era flapper, she became known for her surreal cartoons, innocent demeanor, and trademark phrase "Boop oop e Doop!"

Out of the Inkwell (1938)[edit | edit source]

In this cartoon, a janitor at the animation studio who is studying hypnosis accidentally releases Betty from her fountain pen, and quickly tries out his new skills on her.
