Scenes in which a character is subjected to a deeper mental alteration than temporary hypnosis/mind control, with an intended longer-lasting change in personality, morals, beliefs or allegiance.

The alterations can be made to the character's normal, waking self (e.g., a good character brainwashed to happily serve an evil organization), or to create a second, subconscious personality that the character is unaware of (e.g., a 'sleeper agent' who acts normally until activated)
