Dark Angel (TV Series)
Dark Angel was a 2000-2002 American science fiction series about a genetically-engineered woman named Max (Jessica Alba), who escapes from a secret government lab and works for a messenger service in a post-apocalyptic Seattle that has been devastated by a terrorist attack. She soon finds herself working with cyberjournalist Logan "Eyes Only" Cale (Michael Weatherly) to expose corruption and crime as well as to uncover the secrets of her past.
Fuhgeddaboudit (Season 2, Episode 15)[edit | edit source]
Max and Logan dive into the world of Mob bosses and underground fighting as they try to get a narcoleptic bookie to sell out his boss. Unfortunately, Dougie's girlfriend Mia is a transgenic mutant with mind control powers who plans to use Max, Logan, and Alec in a scheme of her own.

Max wakes up, feeling confused.

Max chats with Mia at her day job.

Mia tells Max that she doesn't have to worry about Dougie

Alarm bells go off in Max's head- "how'd you know?"

"Never mind"

Max drops into a trance, her concern instantly forgotten

Mia tells Max that she'll see her later at the club.

Although she just turned Mia down, Max now happily agrees to go

Max tries the tough talk approach

Mia is unimpressed

And hypnotizes Max again

The next morning, Max has a mysterious black eye

Mia tells Max that she must have her herself in the shower

Hypnotized, Max accepts the improbable explanation

And then repeats it to Mia as "exactly what happened"

Max confronts Mia just before the big fight
-
Mia sighs. "Here we go again..."

And sure enough, Max drops back into trance.
