Days of Our Lives

From Mental Block

Days of Our Lives is a 1965-present American soap opera about the trials and tribulations of the Horton and Brady families, among others, in the fictional American city of Salem.

The Dragon (1985)[edit | edit source]

When Shane Donovan (Charles Shaughnessy) and Kimberly Brady (Patsy Pease) travel to England to hunt down the terrorist known as The Dragon, they run into Shane's ex-wife Emma (Jane Windsor), who is now a brainwashed assassin working for The Dragon.

Marlena's Possession (1995)[edit | edit source]

A series of events causes Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) to be possessed by the Devil. The possessed Marlena begins meddling in the lives of other Salem residents while pretending to be their friend. Eventually her duplicity is discovered, followed by the realization that she has been possessed. Her on-again, off-again lover John Black (Drake Hogestyn), who had recently become a priest, takes charge and is eventually able to exorcise the devil from Marlena's body. The storyline took its inspiration from (and drew heavily from) the 1973 American horror movie The Exorcist.

Hope Brady/Princess Gina (1999)[edit | edit source]

Local villain/mastermind Stefano DiMera (Joseph Mascolo) uses satellites and mind-control brain chips to brainwash Hope Brady (Kristian Alfonso) into thinking that she is the European art thief Princess Gina von Amberg.

The Gemini Twins (2002)[edit | edit source]

Twins Cassie (Alexis Thorpe) and Rex (Eric Winter) show up in Salem after a meteor shower and are confined to the basement of the local hospital, suspected of being aliens. They are later released into the custody of Stefano's son Tony DiMera (Thaao Penghlis), but soon fall under the control of Stefano's henchman Dr. Rolf (William Utay), who uses mind control bracelets to turn them into hypnotized servants.

Dr. Alex North (2005-2006)[edit | edit source]

When Marlena develops amnesia, she is sent to Dr. Alex North ((Wayne Northrop) for treatment. Unknown to everyone, North was once married to Marlena. He uses hypnosis to program her to fall in love with him again.

Marlena hypnotizes Ciara in hopes of regaining her memory.
