Digimon Fusion

From Mental Block

Digimon Fusion (デジモンクロスウォーズ Dejimon Kurosu Wōzu, lit. "Digimon Xros Wars", pronounced "Digimon Cross Wars"), is the sixth anime series in the Digimon franchise by Akiyoshi Hongo. It is divided into three seasons, with the second titled The Evil Death Generals and the Seven Kingdoms (悪のデスジェネラルと七人の王国 Aku no Desu Jeneraru to Nanajin no Oukoku), and the third titled The Young Hunters Who Leapt Through Time (時を駆ける少年ハンターたち Toki wo Kakeru Shounen Hantā-tachi). The third season is considered a separate series by Crunchyroll. It is the first Digimon anime series to not have an associated movie.

Plot summary: Multiple armies are fighting for dominance of the Digital World. Fusion Fighters, Blue Flare, Midnight, and the Bagra Army are each searching for the 108 Code Crowns that grant control of Zones, fractured pieces of the Digital World, and whoever gathers each of the Code Crowns will be able to combine them into their original form and become the "Digimon King", able to bend the entire Digital World to their will. The Bagra Army's goal is to transform the Digital World into a hellish realm of suffering, and the Fusion Fighters, led by Mikey Kudo, must stop them.

Ice To See You, Angie! (Season 1, Ep 11)[edit | edit source]

Laylamon uses a mirror in order to take control of Angie with the delusion that she can return to her world if she steals the Code Crown from Beastmon. As Angie obtains the Code Crown the sun begins to rise, and she makes her way to the other side of the lake where Laylamon is waiting with a defrosted Daipenmon, a frozen IceDevimon, as well as an army of Icemon. Though the Fusion Fighters and Beastmon's army attempt to drive them off, Daipenmon ends up freezing them as Mikey wakes up and sees Angie being spirited away. Joined by Jeremy and other Fusion Fighters, Mikey arrives and convinces Angie that she is their friend and that they still need her. Freed from Laylamon's spell as a result, Angie ends up scarring the demon Digimon's face with the Lake Zone's Code Crown.
