El Capitán Trueno y el Santo Grial

El Capitán Trueno y el Santo Grial (AKA Captain Thunder) is a 2011 Spanish fantasy adventure film about a 12th century knight (Sergio Peris Mencheta) who teams up with an eclectic group of adventurers to battle the evil Sir Black (Gary Piquer) and his minions. The film is based on the popular Spanish comic book character Capitán Trueno, created in 1956 by Victor Mora and Miguel Ambrosia Zaragoza. The film costarred Ardian Lamana, Manuel Martinez, Natasha Yarovenko, Francisco Merino, and Asier Etxeandia.

Plot Summary

In the aftermath of the 3rd Crusade, knight-errant Captain Trueno (Mencheta) and his trusty friends Crispin (Lamana) and Goliath (Martinez) travel to Spain along with Viking princess Sigrid (Yarovenko), scholar Juan (Merino) and Arab prince Hassan (Etxeandia) to defend the populace against Sir Black and his terrifying, magical-powered Black Army. Sir Black captures Sigrid, and his witches drug and brainwash her into betraying her friends and stealing an important ruby for Sir Black.
