Hina Logi: From Luck & Logic

From Mental Block

Hina Logi is a yuri anime and a spin-off from the anime Luck & Logic (ひなろじ〜from Luck & Logic〜) it aired between July 1, 2017 and September 23, 2017. The anime features a complete new cast and only shares the same setting a year after the original ends. Luck & Logic is based on a card game, and while Hina Logi battle scenes reference it, the focus of the show isn't the action genre, but the relationships between the girls.

The series follows Liones Yelistratova, a small-time princess who travels to Hokkaido to join a school for Logicalists, which are humans capable of harnessing a power called Logic, there she meets many unique classmates and Logicalists along the way, including Nina Alexandrovna who she falls in love with.

Shameful is She Who Spurns Chocolate (Episode 11)[edit | edit source]

In this show, the characters designated as Logicalists can transform similar to magical girls when they Trance with beings from other worlds called Foreigners, one of those Foreigners is literally Cupid and Nina has been trancing with her during all the show to fight, but since everyone fights with a system of shields, Cupid's arrows never have hit any character directly. During the 2nd half of episode 11 though, it's Valentine's Day and Lion wanted to prepare some Valentine's chocolate for Nina, but she accidentally breaks the microwave so she calls her friend Mahiro to repair it, every machine Mahiro makes explodes though, and after they start the microwave again it starts exploding but thankfully Nina was passing by, so she quickly transforms and fires a Cupid's arrow to the microwave hitting the chocolates inside too, that stops the explosion and the chocolates finish cooking. Now that Nina is there Lion takes the chance to give her love chocolate without knowing they're literally love chocolates, Nina says they're delicious but quickly the effects of Cupid's arrow take place and hearts appear in her eyes. Lion is overjoyed with how forward Nina is being, while Mahiro originally has the theory that the chocolate makes you fall in love with the first person you see, but after a few more characters eat the chocolate this is proven wrong, it actually makes you be honest about your feelings that were always there, the characters that ate the chocolate so far never were completely honest except the last one, and she was completely unnafected by the chocolate because she was already open and forward about her feelings.

At the end of the day the effects of the chocolate wear off and Nina wakes up while Lion enjoyed her day of love with Nina, but it's not over yet because Nina reveals she had Valentine's chocolate with her all along that she made for Lion. Lion happily accepts her love while Nina blushes and looks away.
