Invaders Vol 1

The Invaders is the name of a team created by writer Roy Thomas and artist Sal Buscema in The Avengers #71 (December 1969).  Captain America, his sidekick Bucky, the original android Human Torch, the Torch's sidekick Toro, and Namor the Sub-Mariner were together as heroes opposing the forces of Nazism. When these superheroes saved the life of Britain's Prime Minister Winston Churchill from Master Man, the thankful Churchill suggested that they should become a team, known as the Invaders.

The Invaders were brain-washed by the Red Skull into attacking the allies.


Issue #9[edit | edit source]

John Falsworth A.K.A. Baron Blood use his hypnotic ability to render Union Jack and Human Torch helpless, in a flashback it's was shown that Falsworth himself fell victim to Dracula's hypnotic powers and was turned into a vampire.


Issue #17[edit | edit source]

Julia Koenig is revelead to be a Nazi spy She caught William Joseph White, a man who held secrets to the Super-Soldier Formula that transformed Captain America. she interrogates him and with the aid of hypnosis makes him give up one of the Super-Solder Serum's ingredients.


Issue #37[edit | edit source]

After a battle U-Man sees the Invaders departing, he tries to take the opportunity to avenge his former loss to them , but a voice in his head that he has found he cannot resist compels him to continue onward to meet his new mistress, Lady Lotus.


Issue #39[edit | edit source]

Lady Lotus kidnaps the Japanese born Golden Girl, to recruit her in her conquest of America. When Golden Girl refused, Lady Lotus attempted to hypnotize her instead.


Issue #40[edit | edit source]

Baron Blood defeats Spitfire and Union Jack but before he can finish them off, Lady Lotus makes psychic contact and compels him to come to her hideout. When Baron Blood is brought to Lady Lotus, he attempts to use his hypnotic power to enslave her, but her psychic powers overpowers him.


Issue #41[edit | edit source]

Lady Lotus used her psychic powers on Master Man and Warrior Woman to force them into joining her 'Super-Axis.' Later the Human Torch stumbles into her hideout but she easily hypnotize him into falling in love with her. She also twist his memories to make him believe that Captain America had stolen Spitfire away from him. in order to turn him against his former ally.
