Journey into Unknown Worlds

Journey into Unknown Worlds was a 1951 - 1957 American comic book series published by Atlas Comics, an ancestor of today's Marvel Comics. Like many titles of the period, it was an anthology series featuring science fiction, horror, and fantasy stories.

Although listed as #36, this title marked the first issue of Journey into Unknown Worlds (oddly enough, the previous 35 issues in the series were titled Teen Comics and featured a vastly different story line).

In the first story of the revamped comic series, the evil Lod rules the planet Moog with an iron fist, using his mental powers to control the population. Lod captures the pretty Una and uses his powers on her, intent on making her his bride.
