Knight Rider is a 1982 - 1986 American crime drama series that aired on the NBC television network. It stars David Hasselhoff as Michael Knight, a detective who fights crime with the help of a superpowered, artificially intelligent car known as KITT (Knight Industries Two Thousand). The series costars Edward Mulhare, Patricia McPherson, Rebecca Holden, and Peter Parros, and William Daniels.

A follow-up series set in the same universe, Team Knight Rider aired from 1997 to 1998. A reboot series, also titled Knight Rider, aired from 2008 to 2009.

Chariot of Gold (Season 1, Episode 18)[edit | edit source]

Bonnie is given the honor of joining the Helios Society, whose members all have genius level I.Q.s. This to Devon's chagrin, who was expecting a nomination himself, but has to be content with honorary membership. The Helios members drug and brainwash Bonnie into betraying her friends, using her skills to steal KITT. Michael and KITT's computer (now separated from the supercar) have to work together and without their usual high-tech tools to defeat the Society and free Bonnie from their mind control.

Voo Doo Knight (Season 4, Episode 22)[edit | edit source]

A voodoo priestess (Rosalind Cash) uses mind control to compel three men to steal objects from art collections. Michael is assisted by Elizabeth (Christie Hauser), who tells him that the real object of the thieves is a crown that the priestess covets.
