Scene Summary[edit | edit source]

Television news bigwig Lila McEwan (Marcia Cross) encounters the M.A.N.T.I.S. (Lumbly) in the TV station's parking garage. He uses a paralyzing gas to freeze her in place, then hypnotizes her with his mask. He programs her with a message to deliver to reporter Yuri Barnes (Bobby Hosea), who is working to uncover corruption in the city.

The next day, Yuri delivers a report to Lila, who goes into a trance and mindlessly repeats the message to him before awakening with no memory of what happened.
