My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic

From Mental Block

My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic is a Canadian animated series based on Hasbro's popular My Little Pony franchise. The show premiered on October 10, 2010 on Hasbro's The Hub channel, and has currently ended its fourth season. This incarnation of the franchise is referred to as the fourth generation, or G4, of My Little Pony. The show was developed for television by Lauren Faust, who is known for her work on two of Cartoon Network's popular and critically-acclaimed franchises, The Powerpuff Girls and Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends.

The series stars a unicorn pony named Twilight Sparkle, a student of Princess Celestia, the ruler of the magical land of Equestria. The princess gives Twilight the task of learning about friendship and sends her and her assistant, a baby dragon named Spike, to Ponyville. There, they meet some interesting ponies, including action-loving Rainbow Dash, glamorous Rarity, hard-working Applejack, timid Fluttershy, and hyperactive Pinkie Pie. Together, they go on adventures, solve various problems, and learn about the magic of friendship.

The Return of Harmony Part 1 (Season 2, Episode 1)[edit | edit source]

Applejack is hypnotized into a liar, Pinkie Pie is hypnotized into a grump, Rarity is hypnotized into being a hoarder, Fluttershy is hypnotized into being a bully and Rainbow Dash is hypnotized into being disloyal. Twilight Sparkle is the only one who does not get hypnotized.

In an effort to impress Twilight on her friendship studies, Starlight Glimmer impulsively hypnotizes Twilight's friend in order to do the friendship lessons all at once, but her plan backfires when they are completely stripped of free will to do things on their own without following Starlight's orders, making a hug mess in the castle.

Shadow Play - Part 2 (Season 7, Episode 26)[edit | edit source]

In a flashback all the ponies are hypnotized by three sirens.

The Beginning of the End (Season 9, Episode 2)[edit | edit source]
