Perfect Little Angels
Perfect Little Angels is a 1998 Canadian-American horror film about a mother (Cheryl Ladd) and daughter (Jody Thompson) who move to a small town where the local doctor (Michael York) is secretly conducting a sinister mind control experiment. It is based on the 1989 novel of the same name by Andrew Neiderman.
The 1998 theatrical film Disturbing Behavior features a very similar plot, but was filmed independently and was based on a script written by Scott Rosenberg.
Plot Summary[edit | edit source]
Elaine (Ladd) and Justine (Thompson) move to a small town where they meet the kindly Doctor Lawrence (York). Justine's new high school is dominated by a group of seemingly perfect teens who are model students and community members, much to the annoyance of Justine's new outcast friend Lois (Tanja Reichert) and bad boy Mitch (Brendan Fehr). When Lois transforms overnight into a model teen who ignores her old friends to join the clique she once hated, Mitch and Justine become suspicious. They discover that the special "vitamin pills" that Doctor Lawrence has been handing out are actually a mind control drug.
Unfortunately, the doctor has taken a liking to the pretty Elaine and uses the pills to brainwash her into marrying him. Justine is captured and brainwashed as well, leaving it up to Mitch to find a way to free his new girlfriend and the rest of the town from the doctor's control.
