1990 Japenese sci fi film starring CHARLTON HESTON JACK PALANCE TIM MATHESON AND ANNABELLE SCHOLFIELD

EARTH is in deadly danger as solar flares threaten to cook the planet like a side of bacon and the ship HELIOS is assigned to deliever a nuclear device to stop it. The commander of the mission CAPT. KELSO [MATHESON] not only has the mission to deal with but he is visited by his father ADMIRAL KELSO [HESTON] who tells him that his grandson has left school to see him but has dissapered . Meanwhile a wealthy industrialist who doesn't believe earth is doomed and wants to own the planet kidnaps a member of the crew Alex [SCHOLFIELD] and brainwashes her into being a sabetour using the code word DELILAH.Meanwhile the cadet KELSO[ CORIN NEMEC] crash lands his ship in a desert area and is found by a crazed hermit [PALANCE] and they inverdently run into thugs sent by the industrialist but is rescued by admiral kelso. Meanwhile Alex tries to sabotage the mission as programmed but breaks free of the brainwashing and pilots the bomb into the sun saving the earth..
