Scarecrow and Mrs. King was a 1983 - 1987 American adventure-comedy television series that aired on the CBS television network. It starred Bruce Boxleitner and Kate Jackson as the eponymous couple, who begin working together after secret agent Lee "Scarecrow" Stetson hastily enlists divorced housewife Amanda King's help during a mission at a train station. The series costarred Mel Stewart and Martha Smith as Scarecrow's Agency coworkers, and Berverly Garland, Sam Melville, Paul Stout, and Greg Morton as Mrs. King's family, who do not know about her new double life as a secret agent.

If Thoughts Could Kill (Season 1, Episode 3)[edit | edit source]

When an old friend of Lee's loses it in the Bull pen and fires his gun randomly, Lee gets his knee broken trying to save him. He is therefore stuck in a hospital while he's recovering, under the dubious care of a doctor whose archaic experiments got him fired- thanks to Lee.

Playing Possum (Season 2, Episode 10)[edit | edit source]

Billy (Stewart) has been kidnapped. Scarecrow and Mrs. King search for him with the help of a Soviet agent who warns them that the people behind Billy's kidnapping are also planning to detonate a nuclear weapon in Washington DC. Amanda undergoes hypnosis in order to recall the details of an important conversation.

DOA: Delirious on Arrival (Season 2, Episode 19)[edit | edit source]

An assassination attempt on Lee gets sidetracked to Amanda and she is poisoned with a hallucinogenic toxin which is ultimately fatal.
