Secret Agent Man (2000)

From Mental Block

Secret Agent Man was a 2000 American 'spy-fi' action-adventure series that aired on the UPN television network. It starred Costas Mandylor, Dina Meyer, and Dondre Whitfield as modern-day secret agents who work for an especially secretive government agency. Produced by the "Two Barrys" team of Barry Sonnenfeld and Barry Josephson ("The Tick," "Men in Black," Enchanted"), the series suffered from poor reviews and low ratings, and was cancelled after a single season.

Sleepers (Season 1, Episode 8)[edit | edit source]

An experimental, AI-operated Russian submarine arrives off the coast of the United States, on a long-forgotten mission to attack and destroy New York City. It begins contacting a series of brainwashed Soviet sleeper agents who are still in the U.S., hypnotizing them into attempting to rendezvous with the submarine so that it can carry out the final steps of the plan. Monk (Mandylor) and Russian agent Tupolov (Ivana Milicevic) team up to stop it before it can set off World War III.
