Shaman King (Japanese: シャーマンキング Hepburn: Shāman Kingu) is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Hiroyuki Takei. This manga follows the adventures of Yoh Asakura as he attempts to hone his shaman skills to become the Shaman King by winning the Shaman Fight. An animated television series was co-produced by TV Tokyo, NAS, and Xebec, which aired on Japan's TV Tokyo network from 2001 to 2002.

Episodes 6 & 7[edit | edit source]

The Tao Family can mind control spirits with a special technique called Jiang Shi, Jun Tao the heiress of the Tao family uses this technique to control the spirit of Lee Pyron, a spirit that was killed by the Tao family only with the goal of serving them using the technique. She orders Lee Pyron to kill Yoh Asakura for humiliating his brother Len Tao, so Yoh uses the spirit of Lee's teacher, Shamon to help him defeat his disciple, and free him from the mental control of the Tao family, but when Lee is released he fills with hatred and tries to kill Jun, but Yoh with the spirit of Shamon convinces Lee, to take advantage of his new life and to continue to serve Jun only this time without mind control.

Episodes 10 & 11[edit | edit source]

Ryu wants revenge on Yoh for ruining his hair and a spirit called Tokageroh, possesses him in order to take revenge on Amidamaru Yoh's spirit, after an intense fight, Ryu is about to die because his body can not stand the possession Tokageroh, so Yoh offers his body in exchange, Tokageroh possesses Yoh and threatens to kill Yoh if they do not let him go free, but by possessing Yoh Tokageroh's heart is purified and he leaves and apologizes for everything that he did.

The Boz brothers uses music to mind control the spirits to send them to heaven so the shamans can't use their powers.

Episode 22-24[edit | edit source]

After the confrontation between Len and Yoh in the Shamans tournament, Jun decides to reveal himself against his father to protect Len from his punishment, but his father easily defeats her and Lee Pyron, so he locks her in a dungeon and mentally controls Lee Pyron to face Len who also rebelled against him.

Episode 35-36[edit | edit source]

Yoh and his friends face a vampire, who uses the powers of possession of his spirit to take control of people.

Episode 50[edit | edit source]

A girl named Nyorai use her powers to take control of the darkness in peoples hearth to make them obey her and give up in the tournament, So she doesn't need to fight.
