The Throne of Fire

From Mental Block

The Throne of Fire (original title Il Trono di Fuoco) is a 1983 Italian sword-and-sorcery action fantasy movie about a warrior (Pietro Torrisi) who fights to save a Princess (Sabrina Siani) from the clutches of an evil tyrant (Harrison Muller). The film was one of a number of low-budget fantasy movies made after the international success of 1982's Conan the Barbarian.

Plot Summary[edit | edit source]

Morak (Muller), the son of a demon, plans to take over the kingdom by sitting in Odin's Throne of Fire. To avoid being instantly roasted by the Throne, he must marry into the royal family and sit upon the throne during a solar eclipse. Luckily, an eclipse is coming up, so he kidnapped Princess Valkari (Siani) and hypnotizes her into marrying him. Luckily our hero Siegfried (Torrisi) belatedly arrives to save the day, and pushes Morak onto the throne before the sun is fully eclipsed, roasting him and putting an end to his evil plans.
